What this site knows about you.

Short, because there is not much. This site sets no cookies, shows no adverts, has no newsletter, and does not sell anything to anybody. What follows is everything.

Everything below describes what the site actually does, checked against the code rather than written from a template. If you find something here that does not match what you observe, that is a bug and I want to know about it.

If you fill in the contact form

You give me your name, your email address, what you need, and a description of your problem. A business name and phone number are optional.

That goes straight into an email to me and is not stored on this site— there is no database and no record of it here. The email is delivered by Resend, an email service that handles the sending; it passes through their systems in transit. After that it lives in my inbox, which is Google Workspace, for as long as I keep the correspondence.

I use it to reply to you and for nothing else. You are not added to a list. There is no sequence of follow-up emails. I do not pass it to anyone.

If you give me a phone number, it means I may call or text you about the enquiry you sent. It is not permission to market to you, and I will not treat it as any.

Want it deleted? Email public@mayaisolutions.comand say so. I will delete the correspondence and confirm.

If you use the site check

You type a web address. Three things then happen that are worth knowing about.

The result is cached for 24 hours. It is stored against the address you checked, so that checking the same site again is instant rather than another twenty seconds. After a day it expires by itself. There is no account, no email, and nothing connecting a check to a person.

Your address is sent to Google. Six of the fifteen measurements are made by Google’s PageSpeed Insights service, which fetches and measures the page — the same public tool anyone can point at any public site.

The written note at the end is drafted by a language model — Google’s Gemini — from the measurements and from nothing else. The findings are sent to it; your identity is not, because the tool does not have one. If the model produces a number that was not measured, the note is discarded and you get the plain version instead.

Your IP address is counted, not kept. To stop the tool being hammered, a short one-way fingerprint of your address is stored with a counter. The fingerprint changes every counting window, so two of them cannot be lined up with each other, and every one expires within 24 hours. The address itself is never written down.

Analytics

Visits are counted by Cloudflare, which hosts this site. It measures at the network edge rather than by running anything in your browser: no cookies, no tracking script, nothing stored on your device. It tells me how many people visited which pages and roughly where in the world from, and it cannot tell me who you are or follow you to another site.

That is why there is no cookie banner on this site. There is nothing to consent to.

The one thing stored on your device

If you use the light/dark switch at the bottom of the page, your choice is saved in your own browser so the site does not forget it. It never leaves your device, it is not a cookie, and it is not sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes it.

That is the only thing this site stores on your machine.

Everyone else involved

The complete list of other companies that touch anything:

  • Cloudflare — hosts the site and counts visits.
  • Resend — delivers the contact form email to me.
  • Google Workspace — my inbox, where your email arrives.
  • Google PageSpeed Insights and Gemini — only if you use the site check, as described above.

There are no advertising networks, no social media pixels, no session recording, and no third-party fonts. The typefaces are served from this site.

Children

This site is for people running businesses. It is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
